December BNA meeting: hybrid online/in person with holiday dessert potluck/food drive! 7pm Dec 9, Shoreline Elks at 14625 15th Ave NE.

Our December meeting will be a hybrid in person/online event, with a dessert potluck in person (online folks can join in with BYO). Come join us! We will have a brief BNA business meeting starting at 7pm, desserts probably round 7:20 or 7:30. Families are welcome!

We’re combining the event with a food drive so please bring something to donate. North Helpline’s current wants list is here. Donation boxes will also be outside Patty Pan during the day (no critter attracting foods please) from Dec 7 to 11, at 15550 27th Ave NE.

November BNA meeting, online: next Tues, Nov 11 – Know Your Rights training and more

Next Tuesday, Nov 11, we are excited to have our own Rachel Roberts presenting a Know Your Rights training session: learn your rights when dealing with police, at border stops and checkpoints, and in dealing with ICE. Since we expect this very topical training session to raise some tough questions, Rachel is planning on about half an hour for the training followed by 15 minutes for questions.

We will also have some regular neighborhood discussion topics including a report on the City Council Candidates Forum, a suggestion for a neighborhood food drive, potential for shifting our regular meeting day, and planning for a hybrid holiday meet-up. Anything else you’d like to talk about? Let us know!
